EagleBurgmann expands Gulf Coast service capacity
October 27, 2026
New Pasadena service center offers seven times the shop space of previous Houston location, expanding mechanical seal repair, testing and training capabilities
EagleBurgmann has opened a new service center in Pasadena, Texas, significantly expanding its mechanical seal repair, maintenance and testing capabilities for customers in the U.S. Gulf Coast energy, refining and chemical processing industries.
The facility, which officially opened Oct. 22, replaces the company’s previous mechanical seal service center at its Brookriver location in Houston. Located near the Houston Ship Channel industrial corridor, the new center provides approximately 11,000 square feet of shop space, compared with 1,500 square feet at the previous location.
EagleBurgmann representatives and guests mark the official opening of the company’s new Pasadena, Texas Service Center on Oct. 22 2026.
The expansion is intended to increase EagleBurgmann’s capacity to service industrial sealing equipment used in compressors, pumps and other rotating machinery operating throughout the Gulf Coast region.
The Pasadena facility includes two 10-ton cranes capable of handling large mechanical seal assemblies, shafts and bearing housings. Additional office and inventory storage space supports repair operations, technical services and customer support.
The center will handle repairs of EagleBurgmann mechanical seals, while the company’s Houston/Brookriver location will continue providing dry gas seal services.
Dry gas seals are widely used in centrifugal compressors serving natural gas processing, pipeline transmission and other applications, making the Houston operation an important part of the company’s regional service network.
The new Pasadena facility also includes a dedicated customer training center with classroom and shop space for EagleBurgmann Academy programs. The training sessions combine technical instruction with hands-on experience using shop tools and equipment.
An onsite team will provide seal repairs, customer service, inventory management, technical sales and service, and coordination with EagleBurgmann’s broader service network.
The company completed the transition to Pasadena in stages to maintain repair operations. New repair orders began processing at the facility Sept. 21, with the first repaired seals completed Oct. 6.
Global service network expansion
The Pasadena opening follows several investments in EagleBurgmann’s international service infrastructure during 2026.
In June, the company opened a service center in Lurín, Peru, providing mechanical seal repair and refurbishment, technical support and field engineering services for customers in mining, energy, manufacturing and other industries.
EagleBurgmann also expanded its Chinese service network in April with a new facility in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, increasing local repair, spare parts, technical support and training capabilities.
In September, the company relocated its Shanghai office to improve customer engagement and coordination among its regional operations.
The investments reflect EagleBurgmann’s efforts to expand local aftermarket support for rotating equipment operators, including maintenance, repair and technical training services.
EagleBurgmann manufactures mechanical and dry gas seals, seal supply systems and magnetic couplings for industrial applications. The company employs more than 5,600 people and operates in 86 countries.
EagleBurgmann is jointly owned by Germany’s Freudenberg Group and Japan’s EKK Group.
