Baseline Energy Services promotes Greer to vice president of power solutions

Compression industry veteran will oversee technical strategy and project execution as company expands into data center and industrial power markets

Baseline Energy Services has promoted Coty Greer to vice president of power solutions, expanding his responsibilities as the company grows its distributed power business beyond the oil and gas industry.

Greer, who previously served as Baseline’s director of reliability and quality, has more than 30 years of experience in natural gas compression, operations, asset management and environmental compliance.

In his new role, Greer will lead technical strategy and project execution across oil and gas, commercial and industrial, and data center markets.

Founded in 2012, Baseline provides onsite electric power solutions for customers operating in locations where grid access is limited, delayed or unreliable. The company has traditionally served the oil and gas industry but is expanding into data centers, mining, steel manufacturing, water and wastewater treatment, agriculture and other industrial markets.

The expansion reflects growing demand for distributed power generation, particularly among industrial operators and data center developers seeking alternatives to conventional grid connections.

Baseline is also expanding its equipment fleet and geographic reach following the acquisition of a majority stake in the company by Pennybacker Capital Management in March 2025.

Greer’s appointment comes as Baseline works to increase its capabilities in rapidly deployable and scalable power generation systems for industrial and other critical operations.
