Wood Appoints New CEO For Americas Business

16 October 2019

Wood has appointed Stephanie Cox as CEO of its Americas business. Cox, a veteran of the energy industry, succeeds Andrew Stewart, who Wood appointed as executive president of strategy and development for the global business. Stewart will be based in Melbourne, Australia and remain a part of Wood’s executive leadership team.

Cox, based in Houston, Texas, is responsible for Wood’s US$4 billion asset solutions business, which has about 20,000 employees across the United States, Canada, Trinidad, Brazil, Mexico and Guyana. She reports to Wood’s Chief Executive Robin Watson.

Before joining Wood, Cox spent 28 years with Schlumberger, most recently serving as its president of the company’s North America land drilling business. Prior to that role, she served as vice president of human resources for Schlumberger Ltd. and held several senior leadership positions for the company (president of North America; president of Asia; and geomarket manager for the Gulf of Mexico).
