Windrock Partners With DCP Midstream

21 January 2020

Windrock, a subsidiary of Apergy Corp., and DCP Midstream have partnered to develop digital offerings that combine artificial intelligence and industry expertise to benefit oil and gas operators.

The goal of the partnership is to augment Windrock’s technology, such as Spotlight, with DCP Midstream’s process data and operational knowledge to give midstream operators new tools to improve process efficiency, costs and machine health. Windrock’s AI predictive models, by leveraging its Spotlight smart-hardware edge technology, can anticipate changes in machine health in advance, the company said.

“DCP continues to explore and implement cutting edge technologies in our DCP 2.0 digital transformation journey to improve our asset performance, reduce risks and cost and drive efficiencies,” said Bill Johnson, chief transformation officer at DCP Midstream. “Coupling Windrock’s expertise in asset monitoring technologies and our expertise in digitally enabling midstream operations, we see significant potential in this collaboration to create unique solutions for the oil and gas value chain.”
