Premium Content

April 01, 2020

T.D. Williamson has introduced its ProStopp DS isolation tool, a double-block and bleed device for the gas distribution market. The tool, available for 6 to 12 in. (152.4 to 304.8 mm) pressurized carbon steel pipelines.

The ProStopp DS uses two plugging heads with a bleed port in between to allow for pipeline repair and modification without disturbing gas flow. The tool’s hydraulically activated energized seal on the plugging heads conforms to the pipeline’s diameter to block gas flow, as well as prevent leaks, to a pipeline section under repair.

The ProStopp DS is designed for schedule 10-60 pipe and rated to 285 psi (19 bar). It is compatible with T.D. Williamson valves and fittings.
