Sauer, TMC Form Strategic Partnership

03 December 2019

Sauer Compressors and TMC Compressors of the Seas have formed a strategic partnership aimed at supplying compressors and related equipment for worldwide shipping and offshore applications. The two companies will use a combined portfolio of products to offer equipment for compressed gas and air applications at sea.

“TMC and Sauer will continue to offer our respective products on a stand-alone basis, but this agreement enables us to cooperate more closely and cost-effectively, which could be highly beneficial for both yards and shipowners,” said Per Kjellin, TMC’s CEO. “We are delighted to team up with Sauer Compressors and its renowned range of German-engineered piston compressors.”

Sauer Compressors specializes in piston compressors, including the three-stage, air-cooled compressors of the Passat and Levante Series. Common applications include starting diesel and gas engines in offshore, industrial and marine applications. TMC offers screw compressors for the maritime and offshore sectors.

“Customers can now approach one contact person who has all the technical expertise,” said Harald Schulz, managing director of Sauer Compressors. “The combined portfolio enables very fast and efficient order processing.”
