Endress+Hauser targets data center growth
February 25, 2026
Investments in U.S. manufacturing, instrumentation and digital tools aim to support hyperscale demand and resource efficiency
Endress+Hauser is expanding its focus on the data center sector, positioning its measurement technologies, digital tools and U.S. manufacturing footprint to support growing demand for reliable, efficient and sustainable operations.
As data center operators scale infrastructure to meet rising digital demand—particularly from AI-driven workloads—the company is emphasizing supply chain reliability, faster deployment and improved resource management. The strategy also aligns with Endress+Hauser’s broader presence across industries including oil and gas, power generation, water/wastewater and process manufacturing.
“Data centers are growing faster, and becoming more complex, than at any time in history,” said Tremel Wright, vice president of sales at Endress+Hauser. “Our investment strategy ensures that Endress+Hauser is not only keeping pace but helping shape what comes next.”
The company said it is supporting this push with approximately 650,000 square feet of U.S. manufacturing capacity, alongside investments in workforce expansion and production efficiency. The goal is to strengthen its role as a supplier to hyperscale operators, colocation providers, OEMs and system integrators.
Endress+Hauser’s instrumentation portfolio—long established in process industries—is being applied to data center environments where precision measurement is critical across cooling systems, water management and backup infrastructure. The company supplies flowmeters, level sensors, pressure transmitters, temperature devices and analytical instruments such as pH, conductivity and turbidity sensors.
These technologies are increasingly tied to sustainability goals, particularly as operators seek to reduce energy consumption and optimize water usage in cooling systems.
Digitalization is another focus area. Endress+Hauser is deploying platforms such as its Netilion ecosystem for cloud-based asset management and analytics, along with Heartbeat Technology for diagnostics and performance verification. Remote service capabilities and digital commissioning tools are also designed to accelerate project startup and reduce downtime.
“Data center operators are under unprecedented pressure to balance speed, efficiency and sustainability,” said Liza Kelso, national business development manager for data centers. “They’re asking for instrumentation and actionable insight.”
Beyond data centers, Endress+Hauser continues to maintain a significant footprint in the oil and gas sector, where its measurement and automation technologies are used across upstream, midstream and downstream operations. The company’s instrumentation supports applications such as natural gas processing, LNG facilities, pipeline monitoring and custody transfer, helping operators improve plant safety, optimize production and enhance asset availability. Its systems also provide real-time diagnostics and predictive maintenance capabilities aimed at reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency.
The company noted that its global production scale—shipping hundreds of thousands of measurement devices annually—supports stocking programs aimed at keeping large-scale data center projects on schedule.
As demand for digital infrastructure continues to rise, Endress+Hauser is positioning its combination of measurement hardware and digital analytics as a way to help operators maintain uptime while improving resource efficiency and long-term operational resilience.
