Burckhardt Nets LNG Service Agreement

By DJ Slater24 February 2020

Burckhardt Compression and a liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipping industry company signed a five-year service agreement for nine LNG carriers equipped with Laby-GI compressors.

“This LTSA (long-term service agreement) is a clear expression of our customer’s long-term confidence in our ability to deliver reliable, tangible value to their business,” said Rainer Dübi, president, Burckhardt Compression Services division. “We look forward to deepening our partnership over time.”

The scope of the LTSA covers scheduled maintenance parts of the compressors, supervision, preventive maintenance via remote diagnostics, field services, and project management. Compressor maintenance will be carried out during vessel operation for maximum efficiency. All nine LNG carriers are ME-GI powered and equipped with Laby-GI compressors for boil-off gas management.
