Baker Hughes to acquire ARMS Reliability

Company will fit into Bently Nevada product line

Baker Hughes announced it will acquire ARMS Reliability, a global provider of monitoring and analytical products for a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, power and manufacturing. The acquisition improves Baker Hughes’ industrial asset performance management (APM) capabilities and will expand its product offerings.

APM products use data capture, integration, visualization and analytics to improve the reliability and performance of machinery. ARMS Reliability’s asset strategy management, asset reliability services and consultancy experience – along with its OnePM software – will integrate into Bently Nevada’s System 1 software platform from Baker Hughes, which provides critical plant-wide asset health monitoring and protection. The combined offering will provide Baker Hughes customers with a full spectrum of APM services to enhance industrial operational efficiencies, extend asset lifecycles and reduce non-productive downtime, the company said.

The acquisition also provides Baker Hughes’ with access to ARMS Reliability’s presence in several industrial sectors, including its global customer base, which has strong ties in the United States and Australia.

The acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of this year and will be integrated into the Bently Nevada product line within Baker Hughes’ Digital Solutions segment.
