Rotating Machinery Services buys ATS

RMS was established in 1998 as an aftermarket turbomachinery business.

Rotating Machinery Services (RMS) has bought Axis Technical Services (ATS) for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition gives RMS the skills, expert personnel and longstanding customer relationships of ATS into the RMS portfolio of aftermarket upgrades, repair, maintenance and rebuilding / overhaul services for large, rotating machinery, the company said.

ATS and RMS have worked alongside each other for years, RMS said.

“ATS has earned a reputation for providing outstanding customer service in the marketplace,” said RMS CEO John Bartos. “The opportunity to provide a full range of services to our combined customer base as the OEM for AC Compressor products as well as other-manufacturers’ rotating equipment, enables us to satisfy all of their requirements when it comes to turbomachinery.”

Garrett Lee, president of ATS will serve as the vice president of field services in the combined RMS/ATS organization. “This combination expands RMS’ field service capabilities, while offering ATS’ customers immediate access to RMS’ world-class engineering and mechanical service capabilities,” Lee said.

ATS offers experienced technical field advisors, rotating equipment planners & schedulers for turbine, compressor and generator repair, overhaul, inspection, and installation. Additional services include consulting for start-up and commissioning through experts in project management, QA/QC, and technical direction. ATS offers turnaround planning and execution, operator and maintenance training.

RMS was established in 1998 as an aftermarket turbomachinery business. The company provides global engineering, repair, and maintenance services to the rotating equipment supporting critical infrastructure.
