GTI elects new board member

Scott Drury, chief executive officer of Southern California Gas Co., has been elected to serve as a board member of the Gas Technology Institute (GTI).

“With significant energy industry experience and responsibilities ranging from energy supply, human resources, diversity and inclusion, safety, and emergency services, Scott will be a tremendous addition to the GTI Board,” said David Carroll, GTI president and CEO.

As CEO of SoCalGas, and previously as president of San Diego Gas & Electric, Drury has extensive industry experience in modernizing the energy grid to enhance safety and reliability and creating long-term value, the GTI said. Drury is also a member of the board of directors at the American Gas Association.

GTI is a research, technology development and training organization serving the natural gas industry.
