Viking Energy Acquires Texas, Louisiana Assets

02 January 2019

Viking Energy Group has acquired oil and gas assets in Texas and Louisiana, a move that increases the company’s oil and gas reserves by 10.5 million barrels of oil equivalents.

The acquisition gives Viking Energy Group the majority working interest in multiple oil and gas fields; 58 conventional producing oil and gas wells in Texas (in Orange and Jefferson counties) and Louisiana (Calcasieu Parish); and hydrocarbon-producing assets.

Viking Energy Group’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Petrodome Operating, LLC, will operate the assets. Viking Energy Group is an independent exploration and production company focused on the acquisition and development of oil and natural gas properties in North America. The company owns oil and gas leases in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Kansas.
