Twin Stars Compression has promoted Martin Borunda to vice president, continuing a nine-year career with the natural gas compression and equipment services company.
Borunda joined Twin Stars as a field mechanic before moving into a supervisor position as the company expanded its Midland, Texas, operations. He subsequently held roles in business development and as an area manager. In his new position, Borunda will help support the company’s continued growth across the Permian, Delaware and San Juan basins.

Twin Stars, established in 1991, is headquartered in Bloomfield, New Mexico, and also operates in Artesia, New Mexico, and Midland. The company has more than 80 employees and provides natural gas compression, vapor recovery and oil and gas equipment maintenance services. Its compression business includes compressor sales and leasing, purchase-leaseback and lease-purchase arrangements.
The promotion comes as Twin Stars continues to expand its Permian Basin presence. The company recently opened an expanded Midland location, following a building project that added offices and other facilities.
President Roger Armstrong said Borunda’s progression through field, supervisory, business development and management positions has prepared him to help lead the company’s next phase of growth.
