MHPS Opens Turbine Repair Facility In Saudi Arabia

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Ltd. (MHPS) has opened a turbine rotor and repair facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia

The new facility will serve as a base for servicing compressors and turbines used in petroleum and chemical plants. Beginning in 2018, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corp. (MCO) will work in collaboration with MHPS for the maintenance and inspection of MCO compressors and turbines in Saudi Arabia.

MHPS also announced plans to open a Saudi Arabian manufacturing facility for the M501JAC. This is turbine produces a combined-cycle 724,000 hp (540 MW) at 60 Hz and achieves over 63% efficiency.
