INNIO to acquire Enerflex APAC aftermarket business

INNIO Group has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Enerflex’s aftermarket operations in Australia, Thailand and Indonesia, expanding its service capabilities and installed base across the Asia-Pacific region.

The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, is expected to close in the second half of 2026. The acquired business includes eight locations across the three countries, supported by workshop infrastructure and long-term service agreements with major oil and gas customers.

INNIO said the acquisition will enhance its proximity to customers in the region and strengthen its service offering, particularly in gas compression and distributed energy applications. The deal builds on the company’s earlier expansion in Southeast Asia, including its 2024 acquisition of Souer in Thailand.

Enerflex’s APAC aftermarket operations bring an established installed base and service network, providing INNIO with immediate access to ongoing maintenance, overhaul and parts demand tied to existing compression and processing assets.

Enerflex, headquartered in Canada, is a major provider of natural gas compression, processing and energy infrastructure solutions, with a global footprint spanning North America, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. The company has built a substantial business around contract compression and aftermarket services, generating recurring revenue through long-term agreements tied to installed equipment.

In recent years, Enerflex and its peers have benefited from sustained demand for compression services driven by LNG export growth, gas-fired power generation and upstream production in regions such as the U.S., Middle East and Asia. Its APAC operations have been particularly tied to gas development projects and associated infrastructure in Australia and Southeast Asia.

For INNIO, the acquisition aligns with its strategy of pairing equipment sales with lifecycle service capabilities. The company’s Waukesha engine portfolio—widely used in gas compression and distributed power applications—will be supported by the expanded service network, enabling closer alignment between equipment, digital monitoring and field support.

INNIO CFO Dennis Schulze said integrating Enerflex’s regional expertise will strengthen the company’s service portfolio and support growth in APAC, while reinforcing its focus on customer-centric solutions.
