Mark Sutton spent 37 years with the GPA Midstream Association, retiring as president and chief executive officer of the organization, which advocates for a sustainable midstream industry.

He also served as secretary of GPSA Midstream Suppliers, which is an organization of about 500 companies engaged in meeting the supply and service needs of the midstream industry.

Sutton, who is being replaced at the association by Joel Moxley, talked to
COMPRESSORTECH2 about the organization, the industry and what’s next.

What is the foremost challenge facing the Midstream Industry?

One of the major challenges for our industry is our aging workforce. I took these numbers from an E&P study, but I think they hold reasonably true for the overall midstream industry:
