Hitachi Acquires Sullair

By CT2 Staff27 April 2017

Hitachi Ltd. has made an agreement with Accudyne Industries to purchase the Illinois-based air-compressor manufacturer, Sullair (an Accudyne subsidiary), for US$1.245 billion.

Hitachi said its primary motive for the purchase is to gain access to Sullair’s North American sales network. Hitachi will add its own products to the Sullair line. Hitachi also hopes that the purchase will allow them to accelerate the growth of their “Social Innovation Business” by providing Sullair’s customers with IoT-compatible products and digital solutions.
