Global names new director of business development

Global Compression Services (Global) has named Jack Purvis as director of business development. He will be based at Global’s Midland, Texas facility and will be responsible for managing and growing corporate accounts. He will also be charged with developing new nationwide business opportunities.

Andrew Armstrong, supply chain general manager, Global, said, “We are happy to welcome Jack to the Global family. His extensive background in sales and his passion for working with both coworkers and customers will enhance Global’s reputation for exceptional customer service.”

Purvis joins Global with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, including the industrial diesel engine business. He previously worked in field sales for Cudd Energy Services and as regional business manager for Deutz Corporation. Purvis holds a degree in entrepreneurship and corporate innovation from Baylor University.

“I’m excited to begin a new journey with the Global team and look forward to helping our customers succeed in their goals,” Purvis said. “Developing relationships both in business and at a personal level is very important to me, and I am dedicated to providing our valued customers with Global’s industry leading sales and support.”

Global Compression Services is a manufacturer and supplier of OEM aftermarket parts, components and engine accessories for reciprocating compressors and ignition control systems that power gas gathering operations around the world.
