Encore Oilfield Services acquires Custom Compression Systems

Encore Oilfield Services, LLC has acquired Custom Compression Systems, LLC, formerly known as Williamson Production Systems, LLC, significantly expanding its manufacturing capabilities and strengthening its position in the natural gas compression market.

Custom Compression Systems is strategically located at the Port of Iberia along the Louisiana Gulf Coast in New Iberia, Louisiana. Founded in 1996, the business previously operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of Louisiana Machinery Company, L.L.C., also known as Louisiana Cat, the authorized Caterpillar dealer for the state of Louisiana.

The acquisition adds approximately 103,000 square feet of large-scale manufacturing space to Encore’s footprint, including two 80-ton overhead cranes and 70-foot eave heights designed to support the fabrication and assembly of large compression packages.

As part of the transaction, Encore has entered into a partnership with Louisiana Cat to supply 225,000 horsepower of Caterpillar natural gas engines for gas compression packaging. In addition, Encore will continue to supply and support Ariel Corp. products through its Ariel distributorship, serving both existing and future customers.

John R. Simonetti Jr., president and CEO of Encore Oilfield Services, said the acquisition enhances the company’s ability to deliver integrated compression solutions.

Encore said the transaction supports its long-term strategy of offering a comprehensive range of products and services across key markets, while expanding its operational scale along the Gulf Coast. The addition of manufacturing capacity and engine supply is expected to improve execution, responsiveness and reliability for customers deploying compression assets in demanding applications.
