Cooper Machinery Services, part of Arcline Investment Management, has acquired two compression companies – Epic International and Reciprocating Technology Services (RTS).

Epic International’s energy services business provides OEM-quality parts, field services and repairs on engine and compressor brands, such as Cooper OEM brands. The acquisition includes the company’s Houston, Texas and Ponca City, Oklahoma facilities.

Reciprocating Technology Services, headquartered in Houston, Texas, provides field services and aftermarket parts to its reciprocating engine and compressor clients.

Along with the acquisitions, Cooper also appointed John Sargent as its chief executive officer, effective immediately. Sargent has more than 25 years of domestic and international compressor experience, servicing as the CEO of Epic, as well as spending the last 20 years in various sales and operations roles.
