Altronic Takes Control With DE-4000

02 January 2019

It wasn’t too long ago that Altronic was celebrating the launch of its latest controllers – the DE3000 and DE-3000 Enhanced compressor monitoring and control systems. Five years later, the company hopes to make a similar, if not
larger, splash with its latest control system offering.

The company has introduced the DE-4000, a configurable safety shutdown and control system designed to protect, monitor and regulate rotating machinery. The system uses microcontrollers and microprocessors, along with a software stack, to provide users with protection and control of prime movers (engines and electric motors) and associated load machines (compressors, pumps and generators).

The DE-4000 is fully scalable and can operate in hazardous areas. David Bell, Altronic’s senior vice president for engine applications in North America, said the DE-4000 doesn’t replace its older predecessor, but rather gives operators more options to suit their specific needs in the field.
