TMEIC Provides Equipment For China Projects

23 December 2019

Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corp. (TMEIC) has delivered electric driving systems (motors and inverters) for several compressors, pumps and extruders for petroleum refining and ethylene projects in Dalian, China. Hengli Petrochemical Co. Ltd., a petrochemical company under Hengli Group, is constructing these projects.

TMEIC provided 51 large motors and TMEIC China delivered 167 TMdrive-MVG2 inverters manufactured by Guangzhou Toshiba Baiyun Ryoki Power Electronics Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of TMEIC.

The oil refining plant feature continuous catalyst regeneration (CCR), which uses generated gas to produce hydrogen and eliminate impurities from petrochemical products. TMEIC’s electric driving systems will drive the gas compressors used for a series of these processes, such as gas to hydrogen and refined products.

“We are proud that TMEIC electric driving systems have been employed for this major project, which is one of the national projects initiated by China,” said Makio Ohtawa, vice president, Industrial Systems division, TMEIC. “TMEIC ranks large-capacity variable-speed and ultra-high-speed high-voltage inverter systems as one of its key technologies and will sincerely continue to strive for satisfying a challenge and requirements for our customers.”
