Sloan Lubrication hires new consultant

04 February 2022

Keith W. Schafer has joined Sloan Lubrication as a contract consultant to help the company with its pipeline scale lube system optimizations.

Schafer started his career with Columbia Gas Transmission at Kenova Compressor Station. In his 44 years of service at CPG and later TCE, he held multiple roles in operations, maintenance and analysis. Schafer retired from TCE in December of 2021 as reciprocating principal for the 530 reciprocating engines and compressor in TCE’s US gas operations.

An expert in his field, he continues his involvement in natural gas compression as a consultant who uses his experience to help companies optimize operations.

Schafer has been on the GMC planning committee for 14 years. And has been involved in the GMRC Analyzer Workshop since the days when it was the AGA “American Gas Association” Analyzer Workshop.

From 2019, through 2021 he served as chairman of the Eastern Gas Compression Roundtable, and serves on the KSU, NGML Advisory Board and on the PRCI Compressor and Pump Committee.
