Siemens Energy names Ben Robertson general manager of gas engine business

Siemens Energy has appointed Ben Robertson as general manager of its gas engine business, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to expand its engine portfolio and customer support capabilities.

Robertson brings more than 25 years of experience across original equipment manufacturers, with a background spanning business development, operations, supply chain management and engineering. He has been with Siemens Energy since 2016, where he has held a series of senior roles including business development, branch management and program sales.

Prior to joining Siemens Energy, Robertson served in a range of leadership and technical positions, including director of operations, corporate counsel, supply chain manager and applications engineer. His career combines hands-on engineering expertise with commercial and legal experience, a mix Siemens Energy said positions him well to lead the gas engine business in a complex and evolving energy market.

Robertson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marine systems engineering from Maine Maritime Academy and a Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.

In his new role, Robertson will be responsible for overseeing strategy, execution and customer engagement across Siemens Energy’s gas engine operations.
