Sapphire Technologies adds VP of Sales

Sapphire Technologies has appointed Aditya Negi as vice president of sales as the company advances its post–Series C growth strategy. The appointment follows Sapphire’s recent $18 million funding round, which included an investment from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

Negi brings more than 16 years of experience in the global energy sector, with roles spanning renewable energy, battery storage, Energy-as-a-Service projects and gas-fired generation. He most recently served as vice president of asset management and operations at esVolta LP, where he oversaw a $2 billion battery energy storage portfolio in CAISO and ERCOT. His background also includes leadership positions at Siemens, Siemens Energy and SLB.

In his new role, Negi will lead Sapphire’s global sales organization and oversee revenue generation and customer engagement as the company expands deployment of its FreeSpin in-line turboexpander technology for industrial and pipeline applications.

Sapphire Technologies develops modular power-generation equipment for pressure-energy projects. Its FreeSpin turboexpanders, deployed in high-pressure wells and natural gas pipelines, provide scalable, emissions-reducing power generation while offsetting electrical costs and adding new capacity to the grid.
