Mitra will serve a five-year term in the role
India’s Petronet LNG Ltd. has announced the appointment of Shri Saurav Mitra as its new Director (Finance) & Chief Financial Officer (CFO), succeeding Vinod Kumar Mishra, whose tenure concluded on April 18. Mitra will serve a five-year term in the role, effective from his date of joining.

A veteran finance professional, Mitra brings over three decades of experience from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and its overseas subsidiary, Lanka IOC PLC, where he previously served as CFO. At IOCL, he held key leadership positions including Executive Director (Internal Audit) at the corporate office, driving enterprise-wide audit, financial strategy, project finance, and risk management initiatives.
Known for his contributions to financial structuring of large infrastructure and energy projects, digital transformation programs, and vendor management systems, Mitra is an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ACMA).
