Kelton names Stuart Christie managing director

Flow measurement consultancy and digital solutions provider Kelton has appointed Stuart Christie as managing director, succeeding Iain Pirie.

Christie moves into the role from chief operating officer. He first joined Kelton in 2008 as an on-site measurement consultant in Qatar before spending more than a decade working in-house for a Middle East LNG producer. He returned to Kelton in 2021 as operations director and became COO in 2025.

As managing director, Christie will oversee Kelton’s global operations, including its established North Sea business, expansion in the Middle East and growth efforts in mainland Europe and the Americas.

Pirie, who has been with Kelton for nearly 20 years and served as managing director for the past decade, will become executive director and continue working with Christie and the company’s leadership team.

Christie will also join the leadership team of parent company Nexos Group, which acquired Kelton in 2024. Nexos provides engineering, procurement, construction and consulting services across the energy, infrastructure and power sectors.

Nexos Group CEO Dan McAteer said Christie brings direct field experience as well as leadership expertise, citing his understanding of customer operations and measurement challenges.

Christie said Kelton’s priorities will include continued software development, improving industry processes and expanding into new markets.
