Exline names Whelchel director of operations

Exline Inc. has appointed Keith Whelchel director of operations, repair and manufacturing, giving him responsibility for teams spanning engineering, operations, repair, manufacturing and maintenance.

Whelchel brings a background in mechanical engineering, reliability and capital project management. He previously worked as a reliability engineer at CHS Refinery and as a system process engineer and project manager at Coperion K-Tron, where he managed multimillion-dollar equipment projects from concept through commissioning.

At Exline, Whelchel will focus on manufacturing performance, equipment reliability, process improvement and customer support.

Exline, headquartered in Salina, Kansas, provides repair, manufacturing and field services for reciprocating compressors, engines and other industrial equipment used in midstream and downstream energy, power generation and other heavy-duty applications. Its capabilities include compressor and engine overhauls, component repair and remanufacturing, machining, field service and parts manufacturing from a 150,000-square-foot industrial campus. Whelchel holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University.
