COMPRESSORTech2 to host LNG webinar

COMPRESSORTech2 will host a free webinar on June 23 examining the technologies, operating trends and market drivers shaping the next phase of LNG development, with perspectives from Siemens Energy and global LNG specialist Mehdy Touil.

The webinar, scheduled for 9 a.m. CST, will feature Marybeth McBain, product strategy lead for Siemens Energy’s single-shaft centrifugal compressor line, and Touil, widely known in the industry for his technical commentary on liquefaction systems and LNG operations.

In her role at Siemens Energy, McBain helps guide product strategy for the company’s single-shaft centrifugal compressor line, including internal R&D direction and external LNG market positioning.

Mehdy Touil

Her background includes compression and pipeline engineering roles at Kinder Morgan and Apache, as well as 10 years at Southwest Research Institute, where she served as fluid systems manager in the Rotating Machinery Group. McBain holds mechanical engineering degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and Georgia Tech.

Touil will bring a global operational perspective to the discussion, drawing on his experience across LNG facilities worldwide and his work advancing technical dialogue around liquefaction systems. Trained as a liquefaction specialist, Touil has built a large following for his technical analysis of LNG operations, plant performance and liquefaction technology trends.

Marybeth McBain

The session will examine how LNG infrastructure is evolving, what operators should expect from the next generation of liquefaction systems and how technology decisions are likely to affect efficiency, reliability and long-term project economics.
