Arcanum Energy Merges With Neuman & Esser

11 May 2020

Arcanum Energy Systems GmbH & Co KG has become a part of Neuman & Esser Group (NEA), a move designed to enhance biogas technology offerings.

Arcanum Energy Systems, based in Westphalian Unna, Germany, specializes in consultation and service for companies, municipalities and farmers regarding renewable energy. Its expertise includes commissioning complete biogas plants and biogas treatment and feeding systems. The merger allows both companies to combine their expertise to improve the entire process chain related to biogas technology, including biogas plant operations, biogas treatment and green hydrogen.

“Arcanum’s know-how provides the fitting addition to our existing portfolio of reciprocating compressor systems for the compression of process gases, technical gases and natural gas,” said Alexander Peters, NEA’s managing partner. “Feeding biomethane into the natural gas grid is one of the numerous ‘green’ applications of our compressor solutions. Further applications include the production of green hydrogen from electrolysis or steam reforming biomethane, which almost exclusively finds its way to the customers via compression and can therefore realize sector coupling within the scope of the moves in energy politics.”

Alexander Peters and his sister, Stefanie Peters, also an NEA managing partner, envision the international NEA Sales & Application centers handling the construction of gas treatment plants while Arcanum retains consultative sales.
