Caterpillar Releases New GERP Interface

Premium Content

October 17, 2019

Caterpillar Oil & Gas has released its new web-based interface for the Gas Engine Rating Pro (GERP). GERP, available for more than a decade, is designed to provide site ratings for Cat natural gas engines for the gas compression industry.

The latest GERP version can be accessed on any device with an internet connection. It no longer requires updates, providing users with access to the most current product information available. Dealers can submit special ratings requests directly through GERP and users can securely share projects with customers and dealers through CWS ID authentication.

GERP, accessible via gerp.cat.com, also features improved project management, allowing users to store and manage all project information. This feature means users can quickly access projects, as well as monitor project progress quickly via status icons. Prior benefits from the previous GERP version remain, such as performance predictions, fuel analysis, drawings (curves and graphs), emissions predictions and accelerated project completion timelines.

One of the new features of GERP is improved project management. Users can now securely store and manage all project information for quick retrieval and monitor the progress of each project through status icons. This software also provides the same benefits from the previous version such as performance predictions, fuel analysis, drawings such as curves and graphs accessible through the document library, emissions predicting, and accelerated project completion timelines.
