NEXT Compression, the Calgary, Alberta, Canada-headquartered packager of rotary screw, rotary vane and reciprocating gas compression packages, has announced its decision to exclusively offer INNIO’s Waukesha gas engines for engine-driven compressor packages above 1280 hp.

Since combining the businesses of SAGE Energy Inc. and NGC Compression Solutions in April of 2018, NEXT Compression said it has been met with great industry response as a natural gas packager, experiencing strong growth despite a slowing oil and gas economy.

“Both NEXT Compression and Waukesha are committed to growing our market positions by delivering outstanding customer value,” said Trent Bruce, NEXT Compression founding partner. “We are aligned in our commitment to invest in Canadian technology and innovation that is keenly focused on creating value for our customers. This commitment is also demonstrated by Waukesha’s investment in its brand new, world-class facility in Welland, Ontario, and NEXT’s continued investment in our own resources.”

NEXT Compression said it anticipates its customers will benefit from this agreement in several ways, emphasizing engagement and flexibility to ensure customer priorities are addressed with tailored solutions. This agreement, the company said, provides an alternative to the industry standard and is expected to drive significant cost savings, extended warranties, access to direct service and support from Waukesha certified NEXT technicians.

“We undertook this decision after careful consideration and evaluation of the market options,” said Shane Guiltner, NEXT Compression president & CEO. “It is our belief that as a result of this determined action, we can offer more compelling and agile solutions to meet our customers’ challenges from both a technical and commercial perspective.”
