Premium Content

April 09, 2018

USA Compression officially completed its acquisition of Energy Transfer Partner’s (ETP) compression subsidiaries – CDM Resource Management and CDM Environmental & Technical Services. The announcement of the move, which essentially doubles USA Compression’s fleet to 3.4 million hp (2.5 million kW), took place on Jan. 16, 2018.

Prior to the transaction, the CDM business of ETP owned and operated 1.6 million hp (1.2 million kW) of natural gas compression, with a focus on large horsepower applications. CDM also provides gas treating and emissions testing services, which will complement USA Compression’s station service offerings (turnkey gas handling solutions).

With the CDM business, USA Compression has also expanded its reach across the United States, specifically in the Rockies, Gulf Coast, Eagle Ford Shale and the Permian Basin.
