Zahroof Valves, Inc. (ZVI) has named Bruce Hermonat as the company’s new director of strategic accounts.

In this role, Hermonat will partner with customers to understand their business and operational drivers and apply ZVI products to improve their financial, operational and sustainability performance.

“Bruce’s skill set and experience enable him to serve in a consultive role with customers,” said Chief Executive Officer Jim Ilaria. “Our valve design brings step-function improvement in reliability and efficiency as compared to traditional valves. Bruce’s application experience enables him to explain those advantages and relate to the challenges compressor operators face.”

Hermonat is an accomplished compressor specialist with strong engineering, problem-solving, sales, and project management experience. He has over 30 years of rotating equipment experience with a major focus in reciprocating compressors, the company said.

Prior to joining ZVI, he served in key management positions for leading gas compression component providers. Hermonat earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.

“I’ve spent many years analyzing compressor applications,“ said Hermonat. “Prior to joining ZVI, I did deep dives into the merits of ZVI StraightFlo valves from financial, operational, and ESG perspectives. Their capabilities are unmatched in the industry, and I am excited to help bring that message to compressor operators looking for proven solutions for the challenges they’re facing.”

ZVI is based in Houston, Texas, and serves energy and industrial markets worldwide. The company developed and markets the StraightFlo reciprocating compressor valve.
