Zahroof Valves hires senior VP sales and chief commercial officer

Zahroof Valves has hired Brian Bertelsen as senior VP sales and chief commercial officer. His responsibilities span all aspects of global sales and marketing for ZVI, as well as business partnership development.

“Our customers consistently rank reliability as the single most critical driver in their compressor operations,” said ZVI Chief Executive Officer Jim Ilaria. “Reliability directly impacts operators from a financial, operational, and ESG performance perspective. That is why we are excited to add Brian Bertelsen to the ZVI team. His expertise includes extensive experience in analyzing and applying reliability solutions for a broad range of compressor applications. He has led these efforts as both an end-user and an equipment supplier, giving him a valuable perspective to serve ZVI customers.”

Bertelsen earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He began his career at the Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend Refinery, serving as a machinery reliability engineer for all types of rotating equipment and specializing in compressors. He later served in the global reliability engineering group for the Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport, TN.

Bertelsen joined the Neuman & Esser Group (NEA) in 2008 as the President of NEAC Compressor Service USA where he oversaw the NEA and legacy brand aftermarket business for North America until 2018.

“My role at ZVI is the culmination of a career spent helping machines run longer, safer, more productively, and more sustainably,” said Bertelsen. “I’ve been intrigued by StraightFlo valve technology since its inception, and I am thrilled to help bring it’s game[1]changing advantages to a broader marketplace.”
