Versalis Taps Burckhardt For LDPE Plant Overhaul

28 September 2017

Italian-based petrochemical company Versalis contracted with Burckhardt Compression to overhaul their booster/primary and hyper/secondary compressors at a low density polyethylene (LDPE) plant in Dunkerque, France.

Burckhardt worked with sub-suppliers and provided equipment and executed the turn-key project in three months. These overhauls usually take place every four or five years, requiring a complete shutdown of the plant.
