Site work for the project, which is expected to begin LNG production in 2027, is underway, with lead contractor Bechtel having poured foundations for the Baker Hughes compressors. Baker is also fabricating electric-powered, zero-emissions integrated compressor line packages and other turbomachinery equipment for the Driftwood pipeline.

Lorenzo Simonelli, chairman and CEO of Baker Hughes, said his company’s agreement with Tellurian will expand its Driftwood collaboration with Tellurian to provide zero-emissions ICL compressor packages for the deployment.

“We value our continued relationship with Baker Hughes for delivering industry-leading manufactured equipment and technology solutions to deliver clean energy to the world,” Simonelli said.
