By DJ Slater16 October 2020

Tachyus, a provider of data-driven production optimization software to the oil and gas industry, appointed Fernando Gutierrez as its CEO. Gutierrez, the company’s former vice president of customer success, will oversee the implementation of the company’s mission and guide the leadership team to establish strategies and solutions for the upstream sector.

Gutierrez has been in the field of digital oil solutions for more than two decades. He has developed and commercialized digital oilfield technologies aimed to integrate people, petro-technical workflows and industry practices and to shorten the decision-making cycle in the reservoir management space, the company said.

Gutierrez’s tenure with Tachyus spans three years. Prior to joining Tachyus, Gutierrez spent more than 12 years at Schlumberger.
