System tracks performance of oil and gas assets
October 19, 2022

Oil and gas operators have a variety of technologies available to help them monitor the process of their assets. Sensaphone offers Sentinel Pro Monitoring System, which helps operators of oil and gas assets watch the performance of critical equipment, including compressors, the company said.
Sensaphone, based in Aston, Pa, USA, monitors tank levels, water pressure, temperatures, power failures, torque and flow rates. It is designed for field managers with assets that do not have access to a landline or internet connection. It sends notification via text, email or phone call when sensor readings move outside preset parameters.
This early warning helps to protect assets and prevent costly downtime because operators can quickly address a potential problem before it causes a total malfunction, the company said.
The system interfaces with any equipment that uses a PLC with Modbus and can read values over two-wire RS485 or Ethernet/TCP. Users can read registers from both interfaces simultaneously. In addition, the Sentinel PRO unit accommodates 12 external digital or analog status sensors to monitor conditions such as temperature, humidity, carbon monoxide and more.
Users can easily view data values in real time, set alarms, acknowledge alerts, review data and generate reports from their mobile device, tablet or computer.
Sensaphone offers a comprehensive line of remote monitoring products that safeguard valuable assets by tracking critical equipment and environmental data such as temperature, humidity and power failures.
