Sulzer, Nidec Partner Up With Field Service Agreement

By DJ Slater23 August 2019

Sulzer and Nidec Industrial Solutions have signed off on a field service agreement. Per the agreement, operators of Nidec medium voltage drives in North America can now get onsite support from Sulzer, as well as access to local maintenance facilities.

Additionally, Sulzer’s customers also have direct access to Nidec’s medium voltage drives, which are designed for several industrial applications, including oil and gas and power generation.

“This is the next step in providing Nidec customers with … support that is available through our extensive service center network,” said Jim Mugford, president and global head of Sulzer Electro Mechanical Services. “This partnership demonstrates the level of technical expertise and industry knowledge that is required in modern industrial applications to ensure customers receive the best possible service.”

This isn’t the first collaboration from the two companies. Prior to this agreement, Sulzer agreed to provide sales and technical support for Nidec’s medium voltage drives in North America. The most recent agreement adds on the field service element.
