SIAD Macchine Impianti (SIAD MI), has agreed to supply hydrogen compressors to Nel. Oslo-based Nel is a technology company that develops green hydrogen equipment, including electrolysers and fueling stations.

“We are very pleased to have signed this agreement. It is very important to provide our customers with competitive solutions in terms of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership): through this framework agreement we have achieved this goal, which is even more significant in the green hydrogen application,” said Fabio Margheritti, business development anager at SIAD Macchine Impianti.

The first step of this successful collaboration took the form of an opening order including the supply of 2 compressors for wet hydrogen (model HMS4-4) and 1 oxygen compressor (model MS3-3), installed in a 20 MW plant located in Sweden, SIAD MI announced.

“The Agreement with SIAD MI is an important step in enabling Nel to further ramp-up deliveries of competitive water electrolysis systems for production of compressed green hydrogen“, Says Marius Larsen, supply chain director in Nel.

“With respect to the global climate emergency, this agreement demonstrates the commitment of SIAD MI and its partners towards decarbonisation, in the transition from traditional sources of energy supply, such as coal and fossil fuels, to renewable energy sources”, says Mauro Acquati, compressors division sales manager at SIAD Macchine Impianti.

Nel and SIAD MI will cooperate in a synergistic and productive way, united by the common goal of providing efficient solutions aimed at the production of green hydrogen, and always towards an increasingly sustainable future.
