SGA names Tyler Tunic vice president of industry engagement and workforce advancement

The Southern Gas Association (SGA) has appointed Tyler Tunic as vice president of industry engagement and workforce advancement, a new role aimed at strengthening workforce development, leadership pathways and how the natural gas industry communicates its value.

SGA said the appointment reflects growing industrywide challenges around attracting the next generation of professionals, developing future leaders and clearly articulating the importance of natural gas across operational and executive levels. Tunic’s role is designed to better connect workforce development, training, committee work and industry messaging so member companies see greater value from their engagement.

In the position, Tunic will help align workforce readiness with operator needs, expand leadership and learning pathways and translate committee insights into practical training and development resources delivered through SGA’s Training Subscription.

Tunic brings more than a decade of experience across engineering, project management, construction, pipeline control, commercial optimization and environmental leadership. He has also been active in industry perception and workforce research through the INGAA Foundation and previously served as chair of Young Pipeline Professionals USA.
