SGA honors industry leadership and innovation with 2025 Awards

BGE, Williams, Atmos, and TC Energy among winners recognized for excellence across key categories

The Southern Gas Association (SGA) has announced the recipients of its 2025 SGA Awards, honoring standout achievements in leadership, innovation, safety, community service, and corporate communication across the natural gas industry.
The annual awards recognize individuals and teams from SGA’s more than 550 member organizations whose work reflects the association’s mission to promote knowledge-sharing, talent development, and operational excellence.
2025 SGA Award winners include:
- Chair’s Rising Leader: Sam Trowbridge, SGC Surveying
- Community Service: Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline – Southern Star Cares: Fueling Our Communities
- Corporate Communication: Baltimore Gas & Electric – Certified Safety Podcast
- Emergency Management: Baltimore Gas & Electric – Key Bridge Collapse Recovery
- Engineering Innovation: Williams – Crossing the Coosa River
- Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG): Atmos Energy – Pollinator Garden That Powers Biodiversity
- Safety & Health: TC Energy – Coastal GasLink: Building an Extraordinary Legacy of Safety
The SGA Awards aim to highlight practices and projects that can be shared and scaled across the industry. By recognizing these efforts, the association helps create a growing body of proven approaches that strengthen workforce capabilities, improve resilience, and expand environmental and community impact.
“These awards are more than recognition—they reflect the collaborative spirit and forward-thinking leadership that define our industry,” the association said in a statement.
The SGA continues to serve as a training and development hub for the natural gas sector, curating success stories that offer practical models for safety, innovation, and sustainability.
