Dr Beckhaus received a degree in civil engineering, plus a doctoral degree, from the Technical University in Munich, Germany.

He now leads the Technical Services department of Bauer Spezialtiefbau, which assists Bauer’s projects worldwide in specialist geotechnical, measuring & surveying, and material technology tasks, as well as with methods engineering.

Dr Beckhaus has been involved in the piling and foundation industry for 19 years and has worked in the structural engineering business for more than 25 years.

He currently has a particular interest in standardisation for the design and execution of special geotechnical works, with special focus on quality and sustainability.

There will be presentations from experts in engineering, building materials, and contracting. This free online event will look at new ideas on energy use, materials, logistics and financing – developments that promise to turn construction projects green, while keeping a lid on costs.

Registration for the event will open soon, with the full line-up of speakers also expected within the next few weeks.
