OPW names David Malinas as president

Replaces Kevin Long in post

OPW, a Dover company, has appointed David Malinas as its new president, effective immediately. Malinas brings more than two decades of operational leadership experience in industrial and process technology sectors, including prior roles at Duravant, ITT, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Danaher.

Malinas is returning to Dover after nearly four years as the company’s senior vice president of operations, where he led manufacturing strategy, footprint optimization, and supply chain efficiency initiatives across multiple business units. His efforts contributed to cost improvements and quality gains during a period of significant growth for Dover.

“I’m thrilled to rejoin the Dover organization and work alongside our talented OPW team,” Malinas said. “OPW has always represented innovation, quality, and a commitment to operational excellence. We will continue to build on this strong foundation to accelerate growth, drive performance, and deliver long-term value for our customers.”

OPW has expanded its portfolio in recent years to support the transition to lower-carbon energy. Through its OPW Clean Energy Solutions business, the company designs and manufactures systems for handling, transporting and storing alternative fuels, including liquefied natural gas (LNG), hydrogen and other cryogenic liquids. These technologies play a key role in fueling infrastructure for transportation, power generation and industrial applications as energy markets shift toward decarbonization.

Malinas succeeds Kevin Long, who served as OPW president since 2017 and spent 11 years with Dover.

Malinas holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a master’s degree in manufacturing engineering from Case Western Reserve University, as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School.
