Neuman & Esser Acquires Norwalk Compressor Co.

30 July 2020

Neuman & Esser Group (NEA) acquired Norwalk Compressor Co., a compressor manufacturer based in Stratford, Connecticut.

Norwalk Compressor Co., founded in 1864, has been a family owned operation since 1985 and is known for its Century, Slimline and Charger series compressors for helium, hydrogen, inert and explosive gases within the industrial gas and chemical industries. The company also specialized in niche applications, such as acetylene, HCI and NOx compression.

“Norwalk’s manufacturing capabilities and product lines ideally complement NEA Group’s global footprint and product portfolio,” said Alexander Peters, managing partner of NEA. “With Norwalk’s location, the NEA Group’s service organization, NEAC Compressor Service USA, Inc. will be able to leverage and grow a Northeastern hub and Repair Coordination Center to support new and existing customers of NEA and Norwalk in North America.

Additionally, with Norwalk’s large installation base located in Asia and South America, our worldwide NEAC Compressor Service organizations will be in prime position to
improve local customer support,” Peters said.

NEA will continue to support the Norwalk compressor portfolio with new sales and existing installations, as well as maintain its operational footprint in Connecticut.
