Neuman & Esser Acquires Hytron

By DJ Slater20 November 2020

The Neuman & Esser (NEA) Group has acquired Hytron Energy & Gas, a Sumaré, São Paulo, Brazil-based company founded in 2003 as a spin-off from the University of Campinas.

The acquisition gives NEA Group full access to Hytron’s technological specialties, including engineering and system integration for PEM and alkaline electrolyzers, as well as natural gas and ethanol reformers.

Hytron will be integrated into the newly formed NEA Energy Solutions division as an independent company and brand. Arcanum Energy and AE Driven Solutions were the first companies incorporated into the new division.

“In addition to the broad expertise in the entire spectrum of renewable energies, we were particularly impressed by the references for their electrolysis systems,” said Alexander Peters, managing partner of NEA Group. “The acquisition of Hytron enables us to offer our customers a harmonized hydrogen infrastructure, i.e. starting from generation to compression to filling and feeding, from a single source – exactly addressing the needs of the fast-growing world market.”
