MGC Equipment Co., an affiliate of Mustang Gas Compression – a full-service gas compression company with operations in Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana – has rebranded and expanded. Mustang’s compression rental business is now Nova Compression, which also purchased several compression packages from Archrock.

Jonathan Mitchell, an Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, native, has lead the company since January 2020 as its chief executive officer. Nova’s predecessor, founded in 2007, served the Texas and Midcontinent regions. Subsequent to closing the acquisition from Archrock, Nova has more than 80,000 hp (59,656 kW), deployed in Oklahoma, South Texas, and Ark-La-Tex.
