Morten Christian Larsen named president of Svanehoj

Morten Christian Larsen will become president of Svanehoj on July 1, succeeding Søren Kringelholt Nielsen, who is leaving the company to become president of ITT Nutrition & Health Solutions.

Larsen currently serves as managing director of Svanehoj Singapore and brings more than 20 years of experience in the marine industry. A marine engineer with an MBA in Shipping & Logistics, he has held several leadership positions within Svanehoj during the past eight years, including service and aftersales director and managing director of Svanehoj Tank Control Systems in France.

As service and aftersales director, Larsen helped expand Svanehoj’s service organization from a local team of 16 employees to a global network of more than 100 specialists. He has led the company’s operations in Singapore for the past two years.

Svanehoj specializes in pumps, tank control systems and safety equipment for liquefied gas applications. The company said its LNG fuel pump business has become a key growth driver as demand increases for lower-emission marine fuels. Svanehoj also supplies equipment for LPG, CO₂, ammonia and other liquefied-gas applications.

Larsen succeeds Nielsen, who led Svanehoj through a period of significant growth following its acquisition by ITT. During Nielsen’s tenure, company revenue nearly tripled to more than $250 million.

Headquartered in Denmark, Svanehoj employs approximately 550 people across nine countries and is part of ITT’s Flow Technologies business.
