MAN Diesel & Turbo Wins Order For Nine Compressor Trains

15 November 2017

State-owned Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has placed an order with MAN Diesel & Turbo (MAN) for nine compressor trains. The trains will be deployed in “Gas Gathering Center 32,” which is being constructed by the British construction firm, Petrofac. One of the goals of the new gathering center is enabling the processing of accompanying gases to reduce flaring.

MAN has already delivered more than 50 compressors and turbines to Kuwait. The latest order of nine electric-motor driven compressors comprise types RB35 and RB28. These machines will compress sour and wet gas with high levels of hydrogen chloride and hydrogen sulfide.
